Make Your Own Mystic Malabar Syrup
Our spooky drinks have launched in our tasting room, and we're hearing rave reviews for our Mystic Matcha drink, featuring a syrup made with our Malabar tea.
Not able to visit the tasting room or craving some at home? We got you! Because the tea is so exquisitely spiced, the ingredient list is pretty simple. With three ingredients and a little bit of time, you'll have a tasty addition to matcha and coffee drinks at home.
- 1/4 cup Malabar Tea
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- Combine all ingredients together and bring to boil.
- Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Strain and keep in the fridge.
Simply add an ounce or two to your matcha or coffee for the ultimate fall flavor!
Looking for some variations?
- Add this Malabar Syrup to warm Apple Cider or cold Sparkling Apple Cider
- Try using a different sugar! Dark Brown Sugar or honey would give this a slightly different flavor profile.
- If you're a cold foam fan, adding this syrup to a cold foam on top of cold brew would be *chef's kiss.*
- Looking for a coffee pairing? Something rich like our Dark Horse or Bold Ascent would be just the thing.
We'd love to hear if you tried this and any variations you love. Drop a comment!
