Medium Roast | Brazil | Woman Farmer
It's not often that we get a coffee that is fully traceable to one farm, so it feels really special to source this single estate from Dagmar Resende Pimenta and her beautiful farm, Santo Samaro.
This coffee totally stood out in a lineup we were tasting of several different coffees from Brazil. It was an obvious choice for us, really flavorful but drinkable with a smooth finish. We love the dried berry and raisin notes and that subtle salty/sweet thing going on that reminds us of kettle corn. This is a naturally processed coffee, and a perfect option to dabble in if you're just starting to try out natural vs. washed coffees.

Dagmar is a part of the Café Delas program, which was created to help women farmers access the resources, knowledge, and voice they need to grow their operations to its fullest potential. Café Delas coffee is sold at a 5 cent premium which is shared with the women in cash and or equipment and training to increase quality in both the cup and farm practices.
From the farmer: “The farm coffee production started with my ancestors in 1845. In 1960 started my father’s management. Currently I work with my son Caio Pimenta who is
responsible for the technical area in the farm. During these years we are always acquiring new information about cultivation, harvesting and soil preparation. We have a team which we provide them important courses and trainings so that they can work following all the ideal guidelines to produce high-quality coffees."
