[Jenny speaking directly to the camera, ideally in the roastery.]
Hi! I’m Jenny, the founder and roaster at East View Coffee.
I wanted to personally thank you for choosing our coffee. Every bag we send out is roasted in small batches right here in Kenosha, Wisconsin, by a real team of people who care deeply about making your coffee delicious.
Your purchase does more than support our small business. It helps us build lasting relationships with incredible coffee producers—especially women farmers who have historically done much of the work of growing coffee without receiving an equal share of its ownership or opportunities.
It also helps us support environmental work through 1% for the Planet, provide a tip-free and caring workplace for our team, and create a welcoming space for our community here in Kenosha.
Of course, none of that matters if the coffee isn’t wonderful. So I hope you love every cup.
Thank you for inviting East View into your morning, your afternoon or whatever part of your day calls for really good coffee. We’re incredibly grateful that you’re here.
Enjoy!

Thank you for choosing East View.
We believe a coffee company can make exceptional coffee while also taking better care of the people and places connected to it. Every bag you purchase helps us support women coffee producers, protect our shared environment and invest in the community we call home.
Here’s what you’re helping make possible.
Women perform a tremendous amount of the work involved in growing and producing coffee, yet they have historically held far fewer ownership and leadership positions within the industry.
East View intentionally seeks coffee from women-owned and women-led farms, cooperatives and producer groups. We work to build lasting relationships, share producers’ stories and recognize the skill and care behind every harvest.
When you choose East View, you help us purchase more coffee from incredible women producers—and create greater opportunity at the very beginning of coffee’s journey.
East View is a proud member of 1% for the Planet. That means we commit one percent of our annual sales—not simply our profits—to environmental nonprofit organizations.
This commitment is part of how we do business every year, whether the year has been easy or challenging. As East View grows, so does the amount we’re able to give.
Because the future of coffee depends on healthy soil, reliable water, thriving ecosystems and communities prepared to face a changing climate.
Some of the most meaningful things a small business can offer aren’t products. They’re space, resources, relationships and a willingness to help.
Through our Powering the Good initiative, East View supports local nonprofits and schools with donated coffee, gift baskets, café space and other resources. We make our community room accessible for meetings, classes and gatherings so the cost of renting a space doesn’t prevent good things from happening.
Every purchase helps us continue saying “yes” when a local organization, educator or community member needs support.
East View is proudly tip-free.
We don’t believe employees should have to depend on the generosity or mood of each customer to know what they’ll earn. Instead, we build the cost of caring for our team into our prices and take responsibility for compensating them directly.
When you purchase coffee from East View, you help us create a more stable, respectful and caring workplace for the people roasting your coffee, preparing your drinks and welcoming our community.
None of these commitments would be possible without people choosing East View.
Thank you for supporting our farmers, our team, our environment and our community—and for trusting us to make your coffee wonderful along the way.
Drink coffee. Do good. Repeat.
