Obsidian Freshly Roasted Coffee

We thought we'd gone dark enough with our Bold Ascent coffee, but something else called to us from the edge of the shadows. Obsidian, smoky and deep, is the answer to the call. Reminiscent of diner coffee (but, y'know, really excellent diner coffee) it has a hint of bitter citrus peel as well as round chocolate and earthy notes. This coffee is perfect for those who like their coffee to taste like coffee, no fuss or frills.

We rotate the origin of this roast depending on season and harvest schedules, taking care to choose beans that will lend themselves to the higher temperature and this darker profile. Enjoy this coffee strong and straight or enhance the chocolate notes with some cream and sugar.
